We regularly rely almost totally on ATMs when travelling anywhere including many many several week trips to Bali. Never experienced what you seem to be describing other the normal day to day changes in exchange rates. Reply.

Bali's eastern shoreline, the charming Sanur beach is mostly guarded with wave breakers but that doesn’t mean you can’t surf there. Depending on the time of year and swell, there are certain locations in Sanur that are perfectly suitable to catch some swells; you just have to know where to look! It is a wonderful community bordered on one side by the beach and lush green rice fields with Mt Agung in the distance on the other. It is only about 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes, depending on traffic, by car or scooter to Seminyak and the busier more touristy areas.
